Tricia Helfer, Out-of-this-World Beauty

Tricia Helfer Is An Out-Of-This-World Beauty

Tricia Helfer.

Tricia Janine Helfer (born April 11, 1974) is a Canadian model and actress who skyrocketed to national attention as the humanoid Cylon Number Six in Ronald D. Moore's re-imagined Battlestar Galactica television series (2004–2009).

Tricia is from a farm in Donalda, Alberta. She is of German/ English/ Norwegian/ Swedish heritage. The story goes that while standing in line to see a movie, Tricia was spotted by a talent scout and she life's work was at hand (isn't that how it always happens?). Winning the 1992 Ford Models' Supermodel of the World Contest also probably had something to do with it.

While Tricia is known for her high-profile 'pretty girl' parts, she also had quite a career as a model. Her many covers include:
  • Canada: 'Flare' - February 1993; 'Images' - Fall 1993; 'Fashion' - September 1993; 'Flare' - October 1994; 'Elle' (Quebec) - October 1995; 'Flare' - February 1999
  • France: 'Biba' - March 1994
  • Germany: 'Elle' - July 1993; 'Maxim' - January 2007
  • Italy: 'Amica' - November 1996; 'Anna' - 2000

Pretty much everybody agrees that Tricia Helfer is a pretty girl, and she doesn't have to work very hard at it, either. She has made the Maxim Magazine Hot 100 Women of 2007 list and the cover of Playboy. Her great beauty drew her into the Hollywood sphere, where she has starred in a bunch of television series and films. She began her career as an actress by hosting Canada's Next Top Model, and then moved to Los Angeles and decided to pursue acting full-time.

So, Tricia's credits are numerous and staggering in their scope:
2000 Eventual Wife: Inga
